At Hart to Soul Chiropractic we believe in the philosophy of “the power that made the body heals the body”- B.J. Palmer the developer of Chiropractic. We are already born with everything inside of our bodies in order to succeed and thrive in life, we simply need no interference. When outside stressors and the external environment supersede one’s ability to integrate and adapt, it gets stored in the nervous system as what’s called a subluxation, or a subluxation pattern. This alters the body's tone and function, hindering one from expressing their highest potential and expression of life. It is the art of chiropractic care or the adjustment that helps one release tension patterns, regulate tone and connect deeper with thy self. Chiropractic is the alignment of the soul and spine and when one lives in alignment with their highest and truest self, one can live in a state of ease, love, confidence, and gratitude.
The Webster Technique
Dr. Nikki is trained in the Webster Technique which is a gentle and specific chiropractic analysis and adjustment of the sacrum. Webster Technique reduces nervous system stress, balances pelvic bones, muscles, and ligaments, and optimizes the mother’s pelvic function in pregnancy and birth- helping the baby assume the best possible position throughout pregnancy. When a mother's physiological function is at its best, her baby’s development is optimized. Side effects of this technique may include less low back pain, better movement, and more comfort.
Did you know that the first subluxation in life happens during birth? The following subluxation takes place during birth when interventions such as forceps, vacuum extraction and torsion pulling forces take place on the baby's neck. Having the baby checked postpartum is the simplest way to avoid future dysfunctional patterns such as:

Reiki
Reiki is an energy healing technique that uses the wisdom and life force of all living things to bring harmony back to them. Reiki uses the same universal intelligence that is used in chiropractic to support the healing process. In truth, the words "rei" and "ki" mean, respectively, universal life and energy. Reiki is a hands-on technique where the practitioner acts as a conduit for energy transmission to heal, restore, and align the body's primary energy centers, known as chakras.
The seven chakras that make up the human body are the root, located at the base of the spine, and the crown, located at the top of the head. Chakras correspond to bodily regions that are in charge of producing and controlling hormones. This is why hormone problems may get better quickly after receiving reiki treatment. Points on and near the body that serve as energy transmitters and receivers are known as chakras. The finest methods for transmitting energy through chakras involve combining crystals, sound, and movement since each chakra vibrates at a certain frequency. Along with the ancient reiki symbols she has learned from her studies, Dr. Nikki employs sound healing bowls and frequencies to assist in the unblocking of energy in the chakras.
